Singbulli produces the finest highland quality teas from the foot of the Himalayas that are rarely found. The organic garden is located near the Balasun, Soureni, Phuguri Gardens, was planted by the British and in 1924 the first tea processing began in the associated factory. The garden covers 474 hectares of tea cultivation area at an altitude of up to 1500 m. The garden produces 250 tons of tea annually and employs over 1300 people. Singbulli belongs to the Indian Birla and Jayshree Group.
