Navette have a fine horseradish-radish aroma and a subtle sweetness.
They are an integral part of the kitchen, especially in South and East Tyrol. Fermented turnips go wonderfully with hearty dishes, dumplings and dumplings, but also spice up vegetable dishes wonderfully.
Almost forgotten as a vegetable and as a ferment and often requested by visitors from South Tyrol... here it is. Our turnip greens!
Our ferment is of course unpasteurized. It is therefore best not to heat it above 40 degrees.
